Mental Health Support for Veterans, Students & Women in Georgia
Mental health care isn't one-size-fits-all. The experiences that shape a veteran's PTSD are different from the pressures a college student faces — and both are different from the hormonal and emotional shifts that can accompany pregnancy, postpartum recovery, or perimenopause. At S. Jackson Psychiatry, we believe effective psychiatric care starts with understanding who you are and what you've been through.
We're currently accepting new patients in Macon, GA and via telehealth throughout Georgia.
Veterans & Active-Duty Military
Military service leaves a mark — and for many veterans and active-duty service members, that mark includes PTSD, depression, anxiety, sleep disorders, and the complex process of transitioning back to civilian life.
At S. Jackson Psychiatry, we take the time to understand your service history and how it's shaped your mental health. We offer comprehensive psychiatric evaluations for PTSD and related conditions, medication management tailored to your needs, FMLA and VA disability documentation support, and telehealth appointments so you can be seen from anywhere in Georgia.
You've given a great deal. You deserve care that meets you where you are.
College Students & Young Adults
The years between 18 and 30 are some of the most mentally demanding of a person's life — new environments, academic pressure, identity formation, financial stress, and often the first time mental health symptoms become impossible to ignore.
We work with students and young adults navigating anxiety and panic disorders, ADHD (newly diagnosed or previously untreated), depression and mood disorders, and life transitions and adjustment challenges.
Whether you're a student at Mercer, Middle Georgia State, or anywhere else in the state, telehealth makes it easy to get care without disrupting your schedule.
Women: Perinatal, Postpartum & Hormonal Mental Health
Women's mental health is deeply connected to hormonal shifts — and those shifts are rarely given the clinical attention they deserve. From the anxiety that can accompany pregnancy to the depression that follows delivery to the mood changes of perimenopause, these experiences are real, common, and treatable.
S. Jackson Psychiatry offers specialized care for perinatal and prenatal anxiety and depression, postpartum depression and postpartum psychosis, premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD), and hormonal mood changes during perimenopause and menopause.
We approach women's mental health with the nuance it requires — not a generic protocol, but a care plan built around your specific experience.
Telehealth Throughout Georgia
All of the above is available via telehealth for patients anywhere in Georgia. You don't need to be in Macon to receive the same quality of care. Telehealth appointments are conducted through a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform and offer the same dedicated time with your provider as an in-person visit.
